A series of free lectures on STEM is continuing at HVA. Lectures will be on the 2nd Monday of each month from 7 to 8:00 pm. Conf teachers will get PAC credits for attendance. For info or to sign up call 301/739-8480 or email email@example.com.
After-school STEM program at HVA for children 8 - 12 yrs old. Program will be held on the 2nd Monday of each month from 4 to 5:00 pm. Space is limited to 20 so register now. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a spot for your child.
Mar 27-29 The Frederick, MD church invites you to a free weekend by Pastor Pavel Goia focusing on Prayer, Revival and Equipping. There will be 1 session at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, 3 sessions on Sabbath at 8:30 a.m., 10:50 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. There will be 1 session Sunday at 9:00 a.m. which will be breakfast followed by an anointing service. Apr 8 RKS is hosting a blood drive on Wednesday from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm. You can regisister at www.redcross.org or by calling Kim at 304/263-9894. Volunteers are also needed to register people at the door. Call Kim if you can help.
Apr 10-12 Team Leadership Training at Mt Aetna. Speaker will be Pastor Carl Rodriguez. Arrival time is Fri 4/10 at 7:30 pm. Activities include High Ropes, wall climbing, zip lines and other games and fun activities. Deadline for registration is Monday 4/6 at 5:00 pm. Registration fee is $40.00 per person.
Apr 11 Start of the 'Reach Chesapeake' Evangelistic meeting at the church. Program starts at 7:00 pm.
Apr 15-19 The Spencerville Adventist Academy Drama Team will be presenting an "Adventist' version of the musical 'South Pacific'. Tickets are $10, $15 and $20 and may be purchased: online at www.spaac.net/tickets/ by phone 410/540-4989 or by e-mail email@example.com. Wednesday and Thursday tickets are $10. On Wednesday seniors and visiting students pay $7.
Apr 18 Division level PBE will be held at Southwestern University in Keene, TX starting at 3 pm.
Apr 21 At 12:30 in the church fellowship hall we will be holding a 'Welcome to Spring' Senior Saints dinner. This is a great time to get to know folks we don't see at other times, accompanied by good music and great food. All seniors and saints are invited to attend. The wearing of spring bonnets is encouraged. (Men can wear baseball hats, if desired).
Apr 24-26 These are the dates for the Chesapeake Conference Pathfinder Fair and Campout to be held at Mt Aetna Retreat Center. The main speaker for the weekend will be Pastor Volody Grinchenko, the new pastor of the Willow Brook church. The Raingutter Regatta will be held Saturday evening after being snowed out Feb 22. Sound like a fun weekend and all are invited to attend. Registration deadline is April 16, 2015.
May 15-17 Pathfinder camping trip to Romney. More info to follow.
Jun 5-7 Adventurer Family Weekend at Mt Aetna Retreat Center. The speaker for the weekend will be Pastor Shawn Paris.
Jun 14 A Class on 'Wild Edible Plants' will be held at Mt Aetna Retreat Center. The $49 fee includes two meals with plants collected during class time, a textbook and plant identification picures. To register by June 5, call 301/824-6045. Class is open to ages 10 and up. Space is limited.
Jun 19-20 'The Gathering' campmeeting is two days due to the GC session also to be held in June. For info or registration, go ccosda.org or use the form in the March issue of the Visitor. Keynote speaker will be Pavel Goia, pastor of the Lexington, KY church.
